Create your own Medieval style long stitch notebook with Shelagh McCarthy
Sunday 29th, 4pm
Shelagh is a printmaker, bookbinder and freelance creative-educator.
In this workshop, you will make a version of a medieval-style long stitch binding with a paper cover. The long stitch is a beautiful, versatile, binding. Once you know the sewing method, you may like to use an alternative to paper as a cover, for example leather, vinyl or cloth. It's the perfect unique handmade Christmas gift!
This workshop is for adults, but if you'd like to find out how to make a mini medieval book as a family, click here!
