Park & Ride
Situated in the heart of the town, Ludlow Castle is a ten minute walk from the railway station. Parking within town is limited, so we suggest you use the Fayre Park & Ride At Ludlow Racecourse, SY8 2BT.
Tickets are £2 return, with under 16s now FREE.
Saturday: The first bus leaves the Raceourse at 9.30am, the last bus leaves Ludlow at 9.30pm.
Sunday: The first bus leaves the Racecourse at 9.30am, the last bus leaves Ludlow at 4.30pm.
The town park & ride will be running from the Eco Park (SY8 1ES) and will run during the same times at the Fayre park & ride on Saturday and Sunday.
Dogs on leads are allowed on the Park & Ride buses.
There is parking in the Linney Car Park for £1 for the day and there's also parking at Ludlow Cricket Club (ten mins walk from Ludlow Castle) which will be raising money for Junior Cricket Development. The car park is on Burway Lane, SY8 1DT
McConnell (SY8 1JL) will be raising money for Joel’s Wish.
There is disabled parking on the street in town in Mill Street (access via Dinham), although this will fill up quickly. There is disabled access on 1 out of 4 of the Park & Ride buses, and they drop off a five minute walk on the flat from the event. Wheelchair users have free entry to the event (due to certain areas of the castle being inaccessible to them).
There are other public car parks in town at Lower Galdeford and on Upper Galdeford but these tend to fill up fast and early in the morning too!
Please note that King Street, High Street and Castle Square are closed during the event.
Accommodation over the Fayre fills up quickly, so get in early! Get in touch with Ludlow Visitor Information Centre for advice on where to stay (Leominster, Hereford and Shrewsbury are all within 30 minutes by train).
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds of the Fayre, but are not allowed in any of the marquees due to food hygiene regulations. There is also a dog creche on site which costs or donations, raising money for the Air Ambulance.
Baby changing facilities can be found in the Castle House Gardens.
