Is Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre happening in 2020?
Yes! We'll be bringing all our medieval magic online this year so you can start your festive season with us from wherever you are in the world.
Will I be able to come to the castle?
Ludlow Castle is open and welcoming visitors, but we won't be running the Medieval Fayre live in the castle this year due to restrictions in place because of the pandemic.
What's happening over the weekend?
Saturday 28th November will see two packed online streams of entertainement, from theatre performers, musicians, storytellers and jesters to demonstrations and medieval activities to enjoy from home.
On Sunday 29th November you'll have the chance to make your own Christmas, getting hands on with remote paid-for workshops you can book in advance from our makers where you can create, make and enjoy all the ingredients to get into the Christmas spirit.
The whole weekend will host a curated online market place of traders selling everything from unique gifts to one-off treats, alongside a programme of live content, competitions and interactive festive moments on our social channels. The market will be online from 28th November right up until Christmas.
Full programme to be announced soon!
What do I need to do to get involved?
All you need is an internet connection! All the medieval magic of the Fayre will be on our website and social media channels for you to enjoy from the comfort of your sofa.
Do I need to buy a ticket to enjoy this year's Fayre?
No! None of the event is ticketed except the workshops, and is free to watch on our website and social media channels. To cover the costs of this year's Ludlow Medeival Christmas Fayre, and to allow us to keep running the Fayre in future years, we will be accepting donations. You can donate here and any amount can make a difference to us.
The programme of workshops, and links to tickets, will be available on the website soon.
