Tryzna - this fantastic band return to the Fayre fresh from touring the medieval markets of Europe with tunes and songs from their NEW show, Silk Road, inspired by the ancient trade route travelled by Marco Polo.
We welcome brand NEW musical trio, Salsarello who play Medieval style with just a hint of Latin American beats!
The Quire return with fine harmonies, festive songs and popular carols to put you in the Christmas spirit - don't forget to sing along!
Theatre, Walkabout and Stage
NEW this year! Meet Hodman Dodmanott and his beautiful wife Sally Forth (from The Flying Buttresses), a unique double act to charm everyone's hearts as they amble merrily through the crowds bringing laughter, joy and carols wherever they go. If you love Jim Henson's puppets, you'll love The Flying Buttresses!
We welcome back this year our fantastic Tournament of Knights: returning this year with a Saturday special fiery finale to celebrate our 20th year. See fighting knights from the House of the Dragon trade blows with the House of the Lion throughout the weekend but don't miss Saturday night for their special fiery face-to-face combat using burning maces if you dare (weather dependent so fingers crossed for a dry evening!)
We also welcome back Hand To Mouth Theatre with their brand NEW show for this year - Flights of Fancy - fascinating & fanciful puppetry with music, laughter and feathers to tickle your fancy!
Plus don't miss panto and medieval slapstick from Shrewsbury Mummers and The Mysterious Crew or the ever-popular interactive BZ Ents with their medieval tales of heroes and villains in have-a-go theatre style
If you like fighting knights, you'll love swordmanship tips and battles from our Master-at-Arms Peter Cann, fight expert extraordinaire, as well as Discover History!
